Our kitchen prepares delicious and nourishing vegetarian meals made from locally sourced and organic ingredients whenever possible. Special dietary requirements can be accommodated with prior notice.

Please note that certain dietary requirements are catered for. As a vegetarian establishment, onion and garlic forms part of all our stocks and are the basis of many of our dishes. We also use legumes and pulses in our dishes. To ensure we can create dishes for you, a surcharge will be added to your booking according to your needs and this will enable us to create all our dishes specifically for you with your dietary requirement taken care of.

The Inner and Outer Cloisters are our single occupancy rooms with shared bathrooms. The main difference between them is that the Inner Cloisters are all in an indoor space, three rooms on each side, across the passage from a bathroom and shower. The Outer Cloisters have their own basin in each room and are slightly bigger rooms. In order to get to the shared bathroom for the Outer Cloister, you will need to walk across a small courtyard. All the rooms share the communal space that has a fireplace and lounge, reading area and a tea/coffee station.

Yes, for Gift vouchers we recommend either getting a 2 or 3 Night Personal Retreat as a basis or a monetary amount can be given. The receiver is welcome to then either book a 2 or 3 Night Stay Personal Retreat when we have a Personal Retreat weekend or if they would like to book a Facilitated retreat, the voucher can be used towards that. Once you have decided on the accommodation and number of nights or the monetary amount, we will send you an invoice. Once a POP is received, we will send you the voucher. The voucher will be valid for one year and can be used for either a 2 or 3 Night Stay Personal Retreat, or any Facilitated retreat (depending on availability), and the balance due will then be for their own bill.

We have had similar requests in the past, and the short answer is no as we are not a wedding venue, but we are open to proposals. There are however quite a few aspects to take into consideration: You would have to hire in tents/structures for the Ceremony and Reception area, as well as chairs. Possible spaces for the ceremony are all outside, so weather will have to be taken into consideration and a Plan B will need to be in place. All cutlery, crockery, glassware, tables and any extra seating would have to be hired in. All lighting and décor and outside furniture will have to be hired in. A kitchen would have to be hired in as we have only a small kitchen available. Our max capacity for accommodation is about 35 guests if you put a body in every bed and unfortunately our max capacity for guests cannot be any more than max 50 guests with regards to ablution etc. * A wedding coordinator will be a must to make sure that the setup and striking of the hired items are overseen. We are happy to create a venue hire package for you if you are interested and please let us know which dates you have in mind so that I can check venue availability for you. There are a few great and beautiful Wedding venues in the area and we absolutely encourage you to have a look at them – Grootbos Murasie De Uijlenes Panorama Venue
